Brandon Ashley has verbally committed to joining the University of Arizona for the 12-13 season.

Ashley is one of the top-10 recruits for the Class of 2012.

Oakland Soldiers coach Mark Olivier says the decision was made on Sunday.

"I think it was the flight back," Olivier said. "Brandon is a thinker; he's not the kind of guy who will make a decision quickly, he thinks about it. He was thinking about it on the plane ride and made the decision."

Ashley is considered the top recruit Sean Miller has landed while at Arizona.

Brandon Ashley, one of the top recruits of the 2012 Class, visited Arizona unofficially on Sunday.

Ashley is from the San Francisco Bay Area, but will play his senior season for Findlay Prep in Nevada.

Nate Britt, a 2013 point guard, also was on Arizona's campus on Sunday.

Kuran Iverson, a top-25 prospect of the Class of 2013, has reduced his list of schools considered.

Syracuse, Kentucky, Louisville, Connecticut, Florida and Arizona are on his new list.

Brandon Ashley, one of the top-10 recruits for the 2012 NCAA class, has narrowed his list of college from seven to four.

Ashley is considering Kentucky, UCLA, Arizona and Oregon.

Ashley is a Bay Area native, but will attend Findlay Prep in Nevada for his senior season.

Arizona will play St. John's while Texas A&M will battle Mississippi State in the 2K Sports Classic benefiting Coaches vs. Cancer held at Madison Square Garden on Nov. 17th.

Arizona incoming point guard Josiah Turner could have a coming out performance in the nationally televised game.
